Ofsted (the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills) is the government department that inspects and regulates care and educational services for children and young people. It inspects all English maintained schools and academies at least once every three years. It then publishes a public report on the school’s performance, students’ work, observation reports on lessons and views from staff, parents and students, and makes suggestions for improvements that the school is expected to put into practice.

The school joined the Lion Academy Trust on 1 January 2021. It is yet to be inspected by Ofsted under new leadership as a part of the Lion Academy Trust.
